
The Moscow Theological Academy And Seminary Graduates Rewarded

The Moscow Theological Academy and Seminary together with the Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker Charitable Foundation gave the annually Hieromartyr Hilarion the Archbishop of Verey Awards to the best graduates.
The tradition was initiated in 2005 by the initiative of the Moscow Theological Academy (MTA) faculty supported by the Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker Foundation managers, A.Yu. Bykov and M. I. Chepel.
This year was not exclusive, and on June 13th, 2011, diplomas and monetary awards were granted to the Academy’s best graduates in the city of Sergiev Posad.

With the 1st grade Diploma was awarded the priest Antony Borisov for his Candidate of Theology dissertation on The Dialogue Between Catholic and Anglican Churches in the late 19th – early 21st Centuries: Its Theological, Canonical and Historical Aspects.

The 2nd grade Diploma was given as the award to the monk Panteleymon (Korolev) for his dissertation on Evolution and Functioning the Service and Synaxary Editions of the Old Church Slavonic Apostle in the Book-Publishing Epoch (Based on the 91st and 153rd Pericopes).

The 3rd grade Diploma was granted to the priest Dimitry Druzhinin for his work on
The Basics of Theosophy.
The ceremonial rewarding took place in the Holy Trinity Lavra of St. Sergius in the presence of the MTA professorial faculty led by the Academy’s Rector, His Eminence Evgeny, the Archbishop of Verey, and the Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker Foundation delegations – General Director, M. I. Chepel, and the Chief of Awards Department, Admiral V. E. Selivanov.


In his salutatory address to the MTA graduates M. I. Chepel thanked the students for excellent results of their studies and noted, that the Foundation henceforth intends to support the Academy students diligence.
